Mail (OS X Only)
If you're using a Mac, its almost sure that you'll power up Mail as your email software. Its a fine piece of software from the good folks at Cupertino and is really easy to setup and use. www.apple.com

Thunderbird
This 'newcomer' to the email client scene has stolen some thunder from the other stalwarts. Its not exactly 'new' as its been around as part of the Netscape suite for a long time, but only recently has it been made a standalone project at the Mozilla foundation and some really nice things have been happening since. Poco Mail
We were pleasantly surprised with this little gem of a software. Its does some things very cleverly and is very, very security-conscious. Definitely worth checking out! Get more info here

Pegasus
David Harris' excellent free software Pegasus Mail has been around since 1990 and features some very advanced scripting features for the power user!
