When we develop websites for our clients, we often install bulk mailing software on their websites. Popular choices include Dada Mail and PHPList.
However, a few of our clients prefer to have a Windows-based install. That's where Group Mail Pro comes in.
We've used Groupmail from Infacta for quite a number of years now for various purposes, from managing simple newsletters to complex subscription lists and found it to be extremely stable and fast.
Features include:
- HTML Formatting with personalized message
- Unlimited groups with scheduled delivery
- Works with databases like Access and Outlook
- Targeted mailings using filters
- Bounce handling and recipient verification
- Email statistics using their GroupMetrics
- and many more plugins!
Groupmail has won numerous awards from ZDnet, Gnomed and even has a 5-cow ranking from Tucows!
There's a free version you can use with a "no time limit" trial period. Try it here. (8.34MB Download)
The Trial version is limited to 100 users per group and without the capability to use some of their excellent plugins. The sending is a little slow with the Free version as it utilizes 1 connection to send as opposed 3 for the Personal Edition and 256 connections for the Business Version.
The Business Version has a Email to SMS gateway and supports ODBC or OLEDB (SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL, Access, FoxPro, Excel, etc.) databases.
