Basics and Common Sense of Email Campaign

By James Little

Yes, it neither sounds very exciting nor empowering. But the basics are the very foundation! Missing this basic and you could well end up wasting your efforts for the next few months to come.

Stopping the Spambot Harvest

If you're like me and receive more spam that legitimate emails  everyday, then you can emphatize with my frustration. Our email addresses are flooded with so much spam daily that its been predicted (so I've read) to render email communication useless in a few years.

Anyway, let's now get into that now. Let's say you have a shining new (and spam-free) email. How do you protect it and ensure that it stays tha way. Or even if you have an email address that already receives spam, let's not invite more!

Here's some positive steps I've taken which helps a lot.

Winning the War On Spam

For years I didn't worry much about spam.

But lately it's got out of control. Over half of my email is now spam, and it was growing by the week - until I took action.

This article shows you some strategies for winning the war on spam.

Read this before you forward that next email!

Do you regularly send out mass emails to your contacts and attaching that latest Wedding / Birthday / Graduation / Baby pictures? Are you guilty of forwarding that "cute" TV ad to your entire address book?

Introducing Your New Sales Generator: E-Mail Marketing

Consider this scenario: You are happily surfing and searching for your favorite pastime, let's say "tropical fishes" and you stumble upon a great community website with lots of excellent information. However the site does not have an E-Mail Subscription form or (even if it has) no incentive to subscribe. So what do you do? You add it to your bookmarks and make mental note to return.

Hosted-Managed vs. Self-Installed Autoresponders

Autoresponders (or Automatic Responders) are now the lifeblood of E-Mail Marketing. Today, I'd like to take a look at 2 major types. The totally managed solution (e.g. AWeber) and a self-installed solution (e.g. Send Studio). We're not recommending one over the other here as they both obviously have their pros and cons, so we'll just present the facts here!

Configuring Email Addresses

By Stephen Cope

When configuring an email client it is important to set up the correct email addresses. Here we will look at email address set up that is generally applicable to all email clients (outlook express, IncrediMail) and all email providers -POP3 mailboxes, Yahoo email, Msn Hotmail

The Anti Spam Challenge - Minimizing False Positives

By Paul Judge, CTO, CipherTrust, Inc.

Email is the quintessential business communication tool, so when it doesn’t work like it’s supposed to, business suffers. Anti spam software is designed to protect your inbox from unwanted messages, but unless your system is properly trained even the best software misses the mark and flags legitimate messages as spam. These messages are referred to as “false positives.”

Importance of E-Mail Signatures

By Michelle Howe

Do you have the correct e-mail signature on all of your outgoing e-mail?

For many entrepreneurs the answer is no. In fact, I see a tremendous number of e-mails from small business owners that do not even have a signature line, let alone a correct one.

Groupmail Pro Review

When we develop websites for our clients, we often install bulk mailing software on their websites. Popular choices include Dada Mail and PHPList.

However, a few of our clients prefer to have a Windows-based install. That's where Group Mail Pro comes in.
